07/17/2008 - BERKELEY, CALIFORNIA (AMTRAK)
An Amtrak train struck and killed a California man near the Gilman street crossing in Berkeley.
Gilman Street was closed as Berkeley police investigated. Witnesses stated that a man was seen walking on the sidewalk prior to the accident. The name of the victim has not been released.
